At the Comedy Theater in Bucharest 2015 began with a special celebration of its 54th anniversary. On this occasion the archives of this theater opened up to the public in the exhibition titled Comedia Remix. A collective document. Confessions and perspectives 1960-1990, a research project conducted by Cristina Modreanu and Maria Draghici invited by George Mihaita, the general manager of the theater.
Comedia Remix is a project meant to reavive the theater's archives and present them in new formats to the contemporary audiences. The project continues in 2015 with the publishing of a bi-lingual catalog of the exhibition, a documentary and a series of conferences based on themes inspired by the research. The project places the evolution of the art of theater in the larger context of '60,'70 and '80 decades from a cultural, sociological and anthropological perspective.
Starting 2014 theater critic Cristina Modreanu has begun working with Comedy Theater in Bucharest as artistic adviser. Modreanu helps with ideas and recommendations for the repertory of this public institution which administrates 3 venues in the city of Bucharest. Cristina Modreanu worked with the Comedy Theater before for the 2005 and 2006 editions of the festCo Festival produced by this theater.
