"Future Is Feminine - New Voices in Romanian Theater" introduced American audiences to innovative Romanian women artists who are remixing Ibsen in two theater performances: "Ibsen Incorporated" and "Me. A Dollhouse. More than 25 years after the fall of Communism, take a look at the world through the eyes of a new generation of theater-makers.
RCINY also hosted a round table with special guest directors Catinca Drăgănescu and Carmen Lidia Vidu and actresses Valentina Zaharia ("Ibsen Incorporated") and Aura Călărașu ("Me. A Dollhouse"), moderated by theater critic Cristina Modreanu. The event will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2016, 7pm, at the RCINY Auditorium (200 East 38th St., New York, NY 10016.
Curated by theater critic Cristina Modreanu, the event was presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York (RCINY), with support from Drama League - New York, Bucharest Odeon Theater, Bucharest Comedy Theater, Romanian Association for Performing Arts and Ibsen Scholarships.
